Skilled Laborer / Installer
Position Title: Skilled Laborer/ Installer
Reports to: Superintendent / Foreman
Job purpose: The Skilled Laborer / Installer position is a person who has various skills in the construction industry. We are seeking a person who retains the following skills but not limited to carpenter, drywall installer, tape/mud/finish drywall, flooring installation, acoustical ceiling grid systems, aluminum composite panel systems. The role requires critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
The right person for this job will have a knowledge of and respect for a safe working environment on construction job sites.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work the schedule that is presented by the foreman or superintendent
- Provide critical information from the field about material needs and inventory
- Assist in projecting workflow within the schedule
- Work collaboratively within the team to execute successful tasks and projects
- Clean, sweep, take out trash, vacuum, mop, etc. as the job requires
- Maintain a clean working environment for fellow workers and clients and guests
- Provide a product that complies with the high quality standards of BAC Consulting
- Have pride in the work that you perform.
- Travel may be required up to 70% of the time
Physical Demands:
- Exposure to typical construction work areas and jobsite terrain.
- Work on platforms, aerial lifts, and personnel hoists.
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms, reach, and talk or hear. They are regularly required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities include accurate near and distant vision.
